College Football 24-25: Week 6 Review

The SEC is in Shambles
Vanderbilt 40, #1 Alabama 35- On a day with so many upsets, this was the most unreal. One week after beating Georgia, the Crimson Tide never led for a second against the Commodores. Jalen Milroe threw an early pick-six but did everything he could to get Alabama back into it. Unfortunately, Vanderbilt's offense was relentless, putting up 40 points to shock the football world.
Arkansas 19, #4 Tennessee 14- No one has been able to hold the Tennessee offense down this year. At halftime, Nico Iamaleava was held off the scoreboard. Tennessee came out hot after halftime, taking a 14-3 lead, but Arkansas fought back. After Talen Green went out with an injury, Malachi Singleton led a go-ahead drive by running for the eventual game-winning touchdown to shock the Volunteers.
#25 Texas A&M 41, #9 Missouri 10- While the other two games were close, Texas A&M walked Missouri for 60 minutes. The Tigers couldn't generate anything offensively, while the Aggies could do no wrong. After a season-opening loss, Texas A&M has rallied for five straight victories and was one of the teams that benefitted from the wild day in the SEC.

The Big Ten is Too
Washington 27, #10 Michigan 17- In a rematch of last season's national championship, the Huskies got a small measure of revenge. It's hard to win games when you can't throw the ball, and Michigan has continually had problems with this area of their game this season. Will Rogers and the Huskies used a 13-point fourth quarter to stun the Wolverines, handing them their second loss.
Minnesota 24, #11 USC 17- Like Washington, Minnesota needed a fourth-quarter comeback to upset the Trojans. Max Brosner ran for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 56 seconds left to hand USC their second loss in Big Ten play.

Cardiac Canes in California (#8 Miami 39, California 38)
With College Gameday visiting Berkeley for the first time ever, the Bears nearly gave everyone in attendance a memorable win. Cal led 35-10 midway through the third quarter and 38-18 early in the fourth. Heisman hopeful Cam Ward took over the game from there. Ward accounted for three touchdowns in the final 10:28, including the game-winning touchdown pass with 26 seconds to go to avoid an upset and continue their perfect run at the top of the ACC.
